ART AT RAMSEY is sponsored by Saint Paul Public Schools Community Education in cooperation with Ramsey Middle School and with the artistic assistance of Artists' Circle, a Minnesota non-profit organization since 1997. The art fair is held in conjunction with Grand Meander, the special holiday promotion of the Grand Avenue Business Association in Saint Paul on the first Saturday of December. Ramsey Middle School, at 1700 Summit Avenue, is located between Grand and Summit Avenues at Cambridge Street (two blocks west of Snelling Avenue) in the hospitable Macalester/Groveland neighborhood of Saint Paul.

Art at Ramsey provides an opportunity for 80 artists to sell their work in a well-lit, easily accessible, conveniently-located indoor space during the holiday season. The show is held in the two gymnasiums and cafeteria at Ramsey Middle School. The hugely successful ART AT RAMSEY is organized and run by artists for artists. Priority is given to local artists. The jury, a knowledgeable panel, selects a balanced show. All decisions of the jury are final. We reserve the right to determine "what is art" as it applies to this event and to make final judgments on all rules.

All applicants must mail (USPS) the Application Form and two checks.

Criteria

All artwork is juried on the basis of CRAFTSMANSHIP, QUALITY, ORIGINALITY, CREATIVITY, and SKILLFUL USE OF MATERIALS, PRESENTATION, and SALE-ABILITY.

Participation is open to 80 artists who produce fine craft and fine art. These include (but are not limited to) basketry, clay, digital art, drawings, fiber, glass, jewelry (gold, silver, stone, beaded), leather, metal, mixed media, paper, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, wood, watercolor, and wearables.
